{Itty Bitty Update}

Hello out there! I'm sorry we haven't been updating as much lately, but it won't be for long * crossed fingers*.

Jeff and I are safe and sound in our permanent surroundings of Suzhou. It's a lovely and slower place city than Shanghai ( which we welcome), and not wanting in beauty and things to do. We've moved into an apartment ( FINALLY!), enjoy home cooked food, work, do our own laundry, give the locals something to talk about, and are finally starting to find our equilibrium again. We're still trying to navigate the system , so little kinks like the internet are coming along in due time. Until then, keep checking up on us, and being your wonderful patient selves. :)

I've had some inquiries so I thought I'd post on here a mailing address. Thinking of sending us a letter via snail mail? Postcard? Care package? We certainly won't refuse it! However, because the Chinese way of doing things can be a bit... wonky... the easiest place to send us things is actually my workplace. My suggestion is to print off this address and just post it straight onto whatever you're sending, and you should be good to go. A point of interest to note: depending on the computer you're on, you may or may not be able to see the mandarin characters at the bottom. I have a feeling a package would still get here without it, but the mandarin certainly helps!

{For Your Enjoyment}

Hello!
Things have gone quietly as of late, so we haven't had too much to blog about. We've been spending the last few days relaxing, hanging out and venturing out together when we feel like it. I've half way figured out the postal system, which I count as a personal victory, and those who handed me addresses before I left can expect a postcard soon.... ish.... depending on the reliability of the postal service, which is yet to be determined.

We had a friend from home visit us this past week, which was a welcome sight. Unfortunately I've had a wicked cold and have been pretty low energy as I try to recooperate.

Our visa woes are almost resolved, and we can pretty much travel anywhere now mainland, though we've decided to stay based in Shanghai until the end of the break. This will give us more time to look for a good apartment, enjoy the company of people we've befriended here, and will make things over all easier.
Because it's a slow news week, I thought I'd share a couple pictures over a few posts as I finish them for you to enjoy. Jeff snaps pictures here and there, but I haven't really had enough to string together a narrative.

In my attempt to update, refresh, and reinvent my little corner of the blogosphere, I changed the URL as well as the title. Because of that it has put some kinks into the ability to follow me if you were already doing so. SO, if you had me on a list, or were following me using blogger, you may need to delete and re-add the blog so that you can
A.) Get to the blog without any error messages, and
B.) receive updates on new entries.
