{Om Nom Nom Baking}

I feel only slightly guilty that the majority of my posts lately have been baking related. Honestly, it's my way with coping with being so far away during the fall season. I have this week off for "National Holiday" and have literally been in the kitchen baking every day. Here are today's conquests!

Fresh baked bread, yeast rolls, and sugar cookies! I've been a little under the weather lately and the smells of China have been particularly nausiating. It's been good to have such delicious smells blocking them out. Jeff brought home a couple of happy little pumpkins today from the market. I smell pumpkin bread/pie/cookies in our future! :)

Have a scrumptious day!

  1. Oh my gosh. I am SO jealous! You have an oven?! Did that come with your apartment or did you buy it?

    These look so seriously good!

    1. Neither, we inherited it from a friend who was leaving ( much like almost everything we have here). We went almost 7 months without anything baked and then it took me another month and a half to figure out the settings ( with some seriously discouraging failed baking) before we really made good use with it. Life is SO much easier with one, and you can get them relatively cheap if you look hard enough. Ours is a little larger than a microwave oven, and I've seen similar sized ovens for 500 RMB.
